I tried to join a couple of the other forums. This seems to be the most active. So if its ok I will just post here.
I do hope my taste buds change in time. Right now the only thing that tastes good to me is sugar and thats even starting to not do it for me. Crazy. I used to love food now all I want is sugary stuff. Even Olive Garden was bleh last week.
I have to substitute the potato for now. I just cant force another one down. And I am going to have to work up to 3 meals a day very slowly. I still cant get more than a cup of food in me without feeling overly full and sick. This is just going to have to take time. I cant rush it.
I ate a cup of pasta last night early before rock climbing with friends. I felt like I was going to explode with that pasta. But then after the 3 hour climb I felt like I could eat a horse. We went to dinner later and I had a small chicken soft taco and was totally full on that.
I am doing well with substituting brown for white though. I like wheat bread and have eaten it all my adult life. Baking with whole wheat flour is a little trickier though. I did find a great pumpkin french toast recipe and made it on whole wheat. I think I will skip pancakes altogether instead of switching to whole wheat pancakes. I would rather have eggs, toast and fruit instead.
Thanks for the welcome. I am going to go read some of the other posts for now.
