: Hello. I hope I am posting this is
: the right place. I am trying to
: figure out the format of the
: forums.
: I am new to the program. I am on step
: 5. I enjoy healthy food and
: cooking. So I am looking forward
: to taking out the white stuff.
: My few issues are....1. I eat about a
: cup of food and am full. If I eat
: a cup and a half I am stuffed.
: Then I am hungry again in a few
: hours. This makes 3 meals a day
: really hard. That plus I am very
: active. I do p90x in winter and
: triathlon in summer. This means I
: get hungry during and shortly
: after a workout. My question is do
: I really need to eat only 3 meals
: a day? I know the book had a few
: exceptions, such as a major
: athletic event. Is a 2 hour tri a
: major athletic event? I know for
: some folks this is an easy tri.
: For me its fairly major.
: 2. The potato is getting a little
: difficult to eat nightly. At first
: I thought, 'great, I like potatoes
: and I like a bed time snack, this
: will be a piece of cake (no pun
: intended). A few days into eating
: a nightly potato I remembered why
: I hardly ever buy, cook or order
: them. I can barely choke down half
: a small one. And now I am dreading
: the potato. Can I try some of the
: alternate suggestions?
: Thanks for your help
: Laurie
Welcome Laurie!
I know it's difficult in the beginning to figure it all out but hopefully you will stick with it. I've heard others say their taste buds change when they are further along with the program. I was always one who never had aversions to many foods so that was never an issue for me. Maybe others will have better advice but I have support to offer. This is a great place to be. Best wishes that you can figure out things that will work for you.
