Many people use bananas, or part of a banana, in their protein shakes. But they are on the higher end as far as sugar content in fruit, and after detox, fruit is an individual thing. I like bananas when they are still green on the ends, and I eat banana occasionally with a meal. I use them once in a while in my shake, but I use about 1/3 of a banana. I also like banana with natural peanut butter. But I can't even remember when I last ate one.

If you are just starting out, banana or any other fruit is just fine. When you get to step 6, you can sort out what fruits work for you and figure out whether banana is one of them. For now, I would enjoy them. And if you are doing a protein shake, banana will make it nice and smooth.
