Re: willpower

Yes it is frustrating isnt it! I have a new approach now after having tried the biochemical approach, the changed my life approach and the freedom from anxiety one....

this was last week:

friend: I have made you apple crumble, I am sure it will be ok for you as its got oats in it, really healthy.

me: oh thats really kind of you - it does look nice! I bet all the crew will love it, but I wont thanks for the thought, thats really thoughtful of you to think of oats but I never touch sugar or white things, they really dont suit me.

friend: Oh! you have the weirdest diet of anyone I ever met!

me: ( Laughing) yes it may seem so! if you are interested I will lend you the book to read up for yourself.

Ive only had 2 people take me up on that offer, but it is great for stopping them in their tracks in a big debate situation.

thats as far as I go now - I really identified with your saying -

So whilst KNOWING that I have a good point, I will feel like I am "losing" the argument as the other person just has the better arguments.

oh I could wind myself up alarmingly with things like that and seethe for weeks :h6) Balancing my biochemistry with the programme has been huge and I'm learning about the rest.
